Résumé express

Each round you draft tiles from the factories, then spend them to place one tile at a time on the stars of your board: a space marked n costs n tiles. Every round one color is wild and stands in for any other. Surrounding a pillar, a statue or a window earns free tiles; completed stars pay off big in the final scoring. 6 rounds, then scoring; highest total wins. The trap to know: being the first to draft from the center costs points.

Mise en place

  • 132 tiles in the bag. 5 / 7 / 9 factory displays for 2 / 3 / 4 players, each filled with 4 tiles.
  • 10 face-up tiles on the supply spaces of the scoring board: that’s where bonus tiles come from.
  • Each player takes a star board — 6 colored stars + 1 central multicolor star, ringed by pillars, statues and windows — and sets their marker on space 5 of the scoring track: you can lose points as early as round one. The track is continuous: past 80 points you take a point token and carry on around it.
  • Start player token in the middle of the table, discard tower next to the factories.
  • The round track shows the wild color:

Tour de jeu

Three phases per round.

1. Drafting

On your turn, take all tiles of a single color — never the wild color — from one factory display or from the center. The rest of that display moves to the center.

  • If there are wild tiles where you draft, you must also take exactly one of them.
  • If there are only wild tiles, you may take just one tile.
  • The first player of the round to draft from the center takes the start player token and moves their marker back one space per tile drafted that turn (never below space 1). In exchange, they place first in phase 2 and open the next round.

The phase ends when the factories and the center are empty.

2. Placing

In turn order, one tile placed per turn, until everyone has passed.

To cover a space marked n on a star, you must spend n tiles of that star’s color: only one is placed, the others go to the tower. The round’s wild color replaces missing tiles, but at least one tile of the real color is still required.

Three concrete cases, in round 1 (wild = purple):

You haveTargetWhat happens
7 bluespace 6 of the blue staryou spend 6 blue: 1 placed, 5 discarded, the 7th stays available
3 blue + 3 purplespace 6 of the blue star3 blue + 3 wilds = 6: you place 1 blue and discard the other 5
4 purple onlyspace 4 of the purple starallowed — a lone wild tile only goes on its own star or the central star

Central star: no color restriction per space, but the 6 tiles must all be different colors.

Points for a placement: 1 point for the tile placed, plus 1 point per tile connected to it on the same star. The 6 spaces of a star form a ring — space 6 touches space 1 — and a chain never jumps from one star to another.

🎯 Try a star

Tap the spaces of the blue star: each placement shows its cost and its points. Careful — space 6 touches space 1.

3. Construction bonuses

As soon as every space adjacent to an architectural feature is covered, immediately take tiles of your choice from the supply of 10 (wilds allowed for the statue and the window). The supply is refilled right away.

Pillar 4 spaces to surround 1 tile of your choice
Statue 4 spaces to surround 2 tiles of your choice
Window 2 spaces to surround 3 tiles of your choice

As soon as every adjacent space is covered, take your tiles from the supply right away — they may be wilds.

Passing, then preparing the round

When you don’t want to or can’t place any more, you pass: keep up to 4 tiles in the corners of your board for the next round — they score nothing — and every other discarded tile costs 1 point. The start player then advances the round track, refills each factory with 4 tiles, and everyone takes back the tiles from their corners.

Fin de partie

The game ends after the 6th round. Everyone then adds their premiums.

Values 5 and 6 pay nothing. Finally, each tile still sitting in the corners costs 1 point.

Entering scores in the app: enter each player’s points round by round (negatives allowed — the center penalty and discards count), and fold the end-game bonuses into the 6th round entry. The app adds everything up and declares the winner.

FAQ

Can I draft the wild color as my main color? No. One exception: if only wild tiles are left where you draft — then you take a single one.

Can a lone wild tile pay for a space? Only on the star of its own color (purple in round 1, green in round 2…) or on the central star. Anywhere else you need at least one genuine tile of the space’s color.

I kept wild tiles for the next round — are they still wild? No, the wild color changes every round. Purple tiles kept after round 1 are just purple tiles again.

Can a scoring chain run from one star to another? Never. Only spaces adjacent on the same star are counted.

How much does the first draft from the center really cost? One point per tile drafted that turn, token not counted, never going below space 1. Five tiles scooped from the center = −5 points.

Do tiles kept in the corners score anything? Nothing during the game, and −1 point each if they’re still there at the end.

Variantes

  • Monochrome side of the board (advanced side): the 7 stars have no assigned color. Each star may be single-colored or multicolored (6 different colors), several stars of the same color are allowed, and the space numbers change. End-game premiums stay the same.
  • Mini box: the back of the supply board offers a different wild color order — nothing else changes.
