Quick summary
Each player has a grid of 12 face-down cards. The goal: end each round with as few points as possible. On your turn, draw a card and improve your grid by swapping or revealing cards. Three identical cards in a column cancel out. As soon as one player has revealed their whole grid, the round ends β and the game stops once someone passes 100 points. Lowest total wins.
Setup
- 150 cards, values from β2 to 12.
- Each player gets 12 face-down cards, laid out in a 3 Γ 4 grid.
- Everyone flips 2 cards of their grid, their choice.
- The rest forms the draw pile; flip the top card to start the discard pile.
- The player with the highest visible total goes first.
How a turn works
On your turn, choose one:
- Take the top discard β you must swap it with a card in your grid (revealed or not). The replaced card goes to the discard pile.
- Draw from the pile β then either swap it with a card in your grid, or discard it and reveal one face-down card of your grid.
Columns: if all 3 cards of a column are revealed and identical, the whole column is discarded β it scores 0.
End of game
- As soon as a player has no face-down cards left, every other player gets one last turn, then everything is revealed and scored.
- β οΈ If the player who ended the round does not have strictly the lowest score, their score is doubled (only if positive).
- Round scores add up. When a player reaches 100 points, the game ends: lowest total wins.
FAQ
The finisher is tied for lowest β do we double? Yes. You must be strictly lowest to avoid the doubling.
The finisher has a negative score β double anyway? No. A negative or zero round score is never doubled.
A column of three 0s β does it cancel? Yes, like any identical column β but it doesnβt change the total (0 β 0). The point: emptying your grid faster.
Can I swap a card thatβs already revealed? Yes. You may replace any card in your grid, revealed or not.
Variants
- Short game: a single round, straight score.
- Long game: play to 150 points instead of 100.
